Dalesview has been providing support and care for people with severe learning disabilities and associated needs such as sensory impairments and physical disabilities since 1989. Many changes to care provision have happened throughout this time but our aim has remained the same – to give each person a happy, fulfilled and comfortable life.

Dalesview was started and continues to be run by Pat Costigan and David Day. Ten years later they were joined by David’s children, Georgina and Mark. Pat grew up in care as a child and has then worked in care for all of her adult life. Pat is the head of care within our service. Georgina, a teacher, created and manages Lifestyle, our specialist activity service. David, and more recently Mark, are responsible for general administration within the organisation.

Our service is based in Lancashire and we support local people as well as people from neighbouring counties and the rest of the U.K.
